Brilyn's Solutions For Sustainability
Education
As we educate ourselves and
grow a new sustainable
economy, we need to include this education in our schools and provide
our children with the information and the tools they need to build on
their futures.
Right now, our education systems only teach the children how to
follow
the agenda, this same old agenda that teaches them that the only way to
get rich is to feed off others regardless of the destruction you leave
behind.
They dangle gold in their faces, they say "come and get your gold"
give us all your talent and we will give you gold (sounding
just like
Ben Mulroney). And our children fall for this, some
parents even
pushing their children into it.
We end up with bankrupt
hockey stars, movie stars, boxers and wrestlers who gave it their all
to get the gold.
Meanwhile no one told them how to manage the gold and so the
millions of fans paid the big bucks to be entertained by them and paid
more big bucks to buy all the toxic products their "star" advertised
and the toxic industries and the government officials who promoted the
"stardom" walk away with all the gold leaving the fans and the "star"
with nothing.
You only need to look as far as people like all
the old rock stars coming out of retirement to get that one last swing
at the gold cause they have nothing left now. It was all taken
from
them quite easily because they were not educated on how to use the
money to build
their own sustainable employment.
We need to stop making
heroes out of people who are not heroes. For
example, it is ridiculous to pay enormous amounts of money to people
who skate around the ice hitting a puck with a stick or hitting a ball
with a bat. Yes, sports is exciting and fun and playing a sport is even
more enjoyable, but it is insane to pay $100 or more just to sit in a
chair and yell at someone to play it for you and then go home crying
cause you can't afford groceries.
Just An Observance:
I find it funny how so many macho men boast
that they are not homosexual,
and say that anyone who is homosexual is sick and then they
go out and pay huge amounts of money to watch other men skating around
for hours in tight pants hitting a puck with a stick. Hmmm, funny
that is.
We need to stop creating demands for toxic products. We need
to teach our children how to manufacture products that are good for the
environment and that will sustain employment for the future.
So many people complain about countries like China saying the
country creates so much pollution, but they don't realize that
they are the ones creating the demand for the toxic products in the
first place.
Everytime you run out and purchase that new ipod or electronic
gadget
that was built in China you are building up the demand for them to
produce more.
If you want China to stop creating pollution stop buying the products
and start supporting industries that are working towards manufacturing
green products.
Our education systems should be overhauled and should start
including the skills of building sustainable solutions such as the ones
we
design here at Brilyn.
They should be taught how to manufacture electric cars, windmills,
solar panels, how to build solar powered computer systems and self
sustainable clean power stations for homes.
There are other materials out there to use besides plastic to build all
these things, we just need to become educated.

All of the technologies that are available today to reduce carbon
emissions and to create clean power are the technologies that should be
introduced into our education systems today, not tomorrow when it will
be too late.
Our children should be taught how to operate their own business or
at least learn how to manage the money they make by investing in
sustainable industries that
will grow real opportunities for them in the future, not just provide
them with a quick cash grab offered by many toxic industries today
while the environment they have to live in is destroyed.
If our children are ever to have a future they need to learn from
our mistakes of the past and build towards a cleaner healthier
environment and a sustainable economy and not forced to try and muddle
thru the debris we leave behind.
